We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager with a passion for structural design to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that projects meet quality standards, stay within budget, and are delivered on time. This role blends both project management and structural design elements, allowing the successful candidate to leverage their expertise in construction management while contributing to the structural integrity and design of our projects.

Duties:

Project Management:

Collaborate with structural engineers and design teams to ensure that all construction projects meet structural requirements and specifications.

Review structural designs and blueprints to ensure they align with project goals, budget, and feasibility.

Assist in design coordination and suggest improvements or modifications to structural elements to optimize safety, cost, and performance.

Analyse potential risks and challenges related to the structural aspects of the project and provide solutions for mitigation.

Stay current with trends in structural design and innovation, contributing insights that enhance project design and delivery.

Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that structural work is being executed according to design and regulatory standards.

Team Leadership and Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of construction professionals, ensuring effective communication and teamwork throughout the project lifecycle.

Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, encouraging team members to bring new ideas to the table.

Handle conflict resolution within the team and with external partners, ensuring a productive and positive work environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in construction project management with a focus on structural design.

Strong knowledge of construction management principles and structural engineering concepts.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project, or similar tools).

Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software to review and analyse structural drawings.

Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.

Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or other relevant certifications is a plus.

Structural Engineering Licensure (PE) preferred but not required.
