Gypsum Installer

Reading architectural plans and/or drawings and/or sketches.

Measure, mark, and cut gypsum panels to fit walls, ceilings, and other structures according to project plans.

Prepare surfaces by cleaning them, installing insulation, and cutting holes for electrical outlets, windows, and doors.

Fasten panels securely to the preconstructed framework.

Apply joint compound over seams and screw heads, sand surfaces to create a seamless finish for painting.

Repair or replace damaged drywall and patch imperfections to ensure a high-quality, seamless appearance.

Any other job-related duties that may be assigned by the Head of Projects from time to time.

Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.

Proficiency with hand and power tools, such as utility knives, saws, and sanders.

Can read and interpret plans, drawings, sketches and technical specifications.

Physical fit to handle heavy materials and perform tasks like bending, kneeling, and working at heights.

Experience with different types of gypsum boards, including fire-resistant and moisture-resistant options, is a plus.

Have strong communication skills and be fluent in English and preferably in Maltese.
