The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing costs and contracts of various projects, ensuring projects are completed within budget and maintaining quality & legal compliance.

Duties:

Prepare cost estimates for construction projects.

Develop project budgets and cost plans.

Analyse materials, labour, and equipment costs.

Prepare tender documents and bills of quantities (BOQ).

Evaluate contractor bids and quotations.

Assist clients in selecting contractors.

Draft and administer construction contracts.

Ensure contractors comply with contract terms.

Manage changes or variations in project scope.

Monitor project spending throughout construction.

Track progress and ensure the project stays within budget.

Identify cost-saving opportunities.

Assess completed work on-site.

Prepare interim payment certificates for contractors.

Finalise project accounts after completion.

Identify financial and contractual risks.

Advise clients on cost implications.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in tendering and procurement within the construction industry will be considered an asset.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, construction Management or related field.

Strong numerical and financial analysis

Knowledge and documented experience of construction methods and materials

Deep understanding of contracts and procurement processes

Strong negotiation and communication skills

Proficiency in cost-estimating software and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Excellent organisational, coordination, and communication skills.
