A carpenter is responsible for working with wood to build and repair structures and other items and they also may have to select and source appropriate materials depending on projects needs.

Duties:
Reading plans, drawings, designs and blueprints as well as taking lead from verbal and/or written instructions.
Good knowledge of the furniture industry and work with minimal supervision.
Assembling joinery items.
Contribute towards the smooth-running of the workshop.
Guide and direct assistants to improve their carpentry skills and contribute to increase the workshop’s productivity.
Undertaking any additional duties within the carpentry trade as required.
Qualifications:
Have 2+ years carpentry experience preferably on commercial projects.
Able to use all woodworking machinery and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
Very good knowledge of English both written and spoken and preferably also Maltese.
Have a clean police conduct.
Have good organisational skills.
Be able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
Have a can-do attitude and be a team player.
Reside or willing to reside in Gozo.
